Recipe Idea – Spicy Beef Stew with Harissa
1kg diced gravy or chuck beef, 2 cloves garlic peeled, 2 onions diced, 4 carrots diced, can chick peas, can of diced tomatoes, 1/4 cup brown lentils, 4 cups vegetable stock, 1 tablespoon harissa spice mix
In a large pot brown the diced onions in a little olive oil, add meat and brown for 5 minutes. add all the ingredients and simmer with lid on and low heat for 3 hours. Serve with steamed rice or cous cous
Harissa is also an excellent BBQ rub or roasting spice
